16.1 Resistance to ageing 耐老化
Accessories shall be resistant to ageing.
插接装置必须耐老化。
Parts intended for decorative purposes only, such as certain lids, shall be removed if possible and
these parts are not subjected to the test.
仅作装饰用的部件如某些盖子，并不需要测试且应在试验前拆除。
Compliance is checked by the following test.
试验︰按下列方式检验
Accessories, mounted as for normal use, are subjected to a test in a heating cabinet with an
atmosphere having the composition and pressure of the ambient air and ventilated by natural
circulation.
按正常安装插接装置，将插接装置放入具有自然通风的烘箱中进行处理，烘箱的与周遭空
气相同的成分和压力。
For portable socket-outlets, a test plug as specified in Clause 20 shall be inserted into the
socket-outlet during the test.
对于移动式插座，在测试过程中应插入如第 20 条所述的测试插头
For accessories having lids, the test plug shall be so designed that when it is inserted the lid can be
closed.
对于有盖子的插接装置，当测试插头插入时盖子依旧要能够盖上。
Accessories having an IP code higher than IPX0 are tested after having been mounted and
assembled as specified in 16.2.
防护等级高于 IP X0 的的插接装置必须按 16.2 所述安装和装配后做试验。
The temperature in the cabinet is (70  ± 2) . ℃ 
烘箱的温度应为 70℃±2℃。
The specimens are kept in the cabinet for seven days (168 h).
试样应停留在烘箱中 7 日（168 小时） 。
The use of an electrically heated cabinet is recommended.
推荐使用电热烘箱。
Natural circulation may be provided by holes in the wall of the cabinet.
自然通风可透过烘箱壁上的孔实现。
After the treatment, the specimens are removed from the cabinet and kept at a room temperature
and relative humidity between 45 % and 55 % for at least four days (96 h).
处理后从烘箱中取出试样，并放在室温和 45%～55%的相对湿度环境中至少 4日 （96 小时） 。 
The specimens shall show no crack visible with  normal or corrected vision without additional
magnification, nor shall the material have become sticky or greasy, this being judged as follows:
试样不需用放大镜刻意放大，不可出现以正常或校正视力可見的裂纹。材料不可出现以下
叙述的沾黏或变滑。
−  with the forefinger wrapped in a dry piece of rough cloth the specimen is pressed with a force of
5 N;

−  no traces of the cloth shall remain on the specimen and the material of the specimen shall not
stick to the cloth.
试样上不得留有布纹，布片上不得黏附试样的材料。
After the test, the specimens shall show no damage which would lead to non-compliance with this
standard.
测试之后，试样上不得出现本标准意义上的损坏。
For portable socket-outlets, after having withdrawn the test plug from the socket-outlet the contact
pressure of the contact assembly is checked as specified in subclause 22.2 with the single-pin
gauge. The gauge shall not fall from the contact assembly within 30 s.
测试之后，将移动式插座上的测试插头拔出，使用 22.2条的单插销规测试导电花朵挟持力，
单插销规在 30 秒内不得掉下來。
NOTE The force of 5 N can be obtained in the following way:

−  the specimen is placed on one of the pans of a balance and the other pan is loaded with a mass equal to the
mass of the specimen plus 500 g;

−  equilibrium is then restored by pressing the specimen with the forefinger, wrapped in a dry piece of rough cloth.

16.2 Protection provided by enclosures 外壳防护
Enclosures shall provide protection against access to hazardous parts, harmful effects due to
ingress of solid foreign objects and harmful effects due to ingress of water in accordance with the IP
designation of the accessory.
外壳必须具有防触电，及插接装置 IP 防护等级相应的防固体物质侵入和防有害进水的保护
级别。
Compliance is checked by the tests of 16.2.1 and 16.2.2.
检验︰在 16.2.1 和 16.2.2 做试验。
16.2.1 Protection against access to hazardous  parts and against harmful effects due to
ingress of solid foreign objects
防止触及危险部件和防固体物质侵入保护
Accessories and their enclosures shall provide a degree of protection against access to
hazardous parts and against harmful effects due to ingress of solid foreign objects.
插接装置及其外壳应有防止触及危险部件和防固体物质侵入保护
Fixed socket-outlets are mounted as in normal use on a vertical surface. Flush-type and
semiflush type socket-outlets are mounted in an appropriate box according to the
manufacturer´s instructions.
固定式插座按正常使用安装在垂直表面上。埋装或暗装式插座依制造商說明书安装
在相应的盒中。
Accessories with screwed glands or membranes are fitted and connected with cables
which shall be within the connecting range specified in table 3. Glands are tightened with a
torque equal to two-thirds of that applied during the test of 24.6.
带螺纹密封盖或膜片的插接装置应与表 3规定接线范围的导线接线。密封盖用试验
时按 24.6 使用的扭矩的 2/3 拧紧。
Screws of the enclosure are tightened with a torque equal to two-thirds of the value given in
table 6.

Parts which can be removed without the aid of a tool are removed.

If an accessory has passed the test successfully, then this test is deemed to be passed for
a combination of such single accessories.

NOTE Glands are not filled with sealing compound or the like.

16.2.1.1 Protection against access to hazardous parts
防止触及危险部件保护
The appropriate test specified in IEC 60529 is performed (see also clause 10).

16.2.1.2 Protection against harmful effects due to ingress of solid foreign objects
防固体物质侵入保护
The appropriate test specified in IEC 60529 is performed.
做相应的 IEC 60529 规定的试验。
For the test of accessories with numeral 5 as the first characteristic, the
accessories are considered to be of category 2; dust shall not penetrate in a
quantity to interfere with satisfactory operation or to impair safety.
防护等级 IP 5X 的插接装置视为第二分類，做试验时灰尘的侵入程度不得影
响安全性。
The test probes shall not be applied to drain holes.
排水孔不必受探测棒测试。
16.2.2 Protection against harmful effects due to ingress of water
防水分有害侵入防护
Accessories and their enclosures shall provide a degree of protection against harmful
effects due to ingress of water in accordance with their IP classification.
插接装置及其外壳应有与其标示 IP 等级相同的防水有害侵入保护。
Compliance is checked by the appropriate tests of IEC 60529 under the conditions
specified below.
检验︰在下述条件下做相应的 IEC 60529 规定的试验。
Flush-type and semi flush-type socket-outlets are fixed in a vertical test wall representing
the intended use of the accessory using an appropriate box in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
暗埋及暗装插座安装在制造商指示预设用途固定在垂直测试壁上的安装盒中。
Where the manufacturer's instructions specify that the accessory is suitable to be installed
on a rough wall the test wall according to figure 15 is used. It is made with bricks having flat
smooth surfaces. When the box is mounted in the test wall, it shall fit tight against the wall.
如果制造商指示插接装置适合安装在粗糙的墙壁上，就采用图 15 的测试壁进行测
试。测试壁由表面光滑的砖砌成。当安装盒安装在试验壁上以后，它必须与试验壁

NOTE 1 If sealing material is used in order to seal the box into the wall, it should not influence the sealing
properties of the specimen to be tested.

NOTE 2 Figure 15 shows an example where the edge of the box is positioned in the reference plane; other
positions are possible, according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Surface type socket-outlets are mounted as for normal use in a vertical position and fitted
with cables or conduits or both in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Cables
shall have conductors of the largest and smallest nominal cross-sectional area given in
table 3, as appropriate to their rating.
明装式固定式插座按正常使用并垂直安装，同时按制造商指示接上含有表 3规定与
其额定值相应的最大和最小截面导体的导线或管子。
Portable socket-outlets are tested on a plain, horizontal surface in a position as in normal
use, such that there is no strain on the flexible cable. They are fitted with flexible cables
(see table 17) having conductors of the largest and smallest nominal cross-sectional area
given in table 3, as appropriate to their rating.
移动式插座按正常使用放在平坦、水平的平面上做试验，其位置应不使软线受到应
力。它们必须接上软线（見表 17） ，软线含有表 3 规定与其额定值相对应的最大和

Screws of the enclosure operated when mounting the accessory are tightened with a
torque equal to two-thirds of the applicable torque given in table 6.
安装插接装置时，外壳的螺丝以表 6 规定扭距的 2/3 锁紧。
Glands are tightened with a torque equal to two-thirds of that applied during the test of
24.6.
密封盖用试验时按 24.6 使用的扭矩的 2/3 拧紧。
NOTE 3 Glands are not filled with sealing compound or the like.

Parts which can be removed without the aid of a tool are removed.
移除那些不须工具即可移除的部件。
If the enclosure of a socket-outlet that has an IP code less than IPX5 is designed with drain
holes, one drain hole is opened, as for normal use, in the lowest position. If the enclosure of
a socket-outlet that has an IP code equal to or greater than IPX5 is designed with drain
holes, they shall not be opened.
如果防护等级低于 IP X5 的插座的外壳规定有排水孔，按正常使用并在最低的位置
将排水孔打开。对于防护等级等于或高于 IP X5 设计有排水孔的插座，测试时排水
孔不打开。
Socket-outlets are tested without a plug in engagement and with the lid, if any, closed.
插座不插入插头且如果有盖子就将盖子盖上做试验。
NOTE 4 In the following countries fixed socket-outlets are also tested with the plug in engagement: AT, AU, DK.
注︰在奥地利(AT)、澳大利亚(AU)及丹麦(DK)，固定式插座必须插上插头作测试。
Plugs are tested when in full engagement first with a fixed and then with a portable socket
outlet of the same system and with the same degree of protection against harmful effects
due to ingress of water, if defined in the system.
插头与相同系统相同防水等级的固定式插座及移动式插座先后做试验，试验时插头
完全插入到插座中。
NOTE 5 In some systems plugs and socket-outlets may not have the same degree of protection.
注︰在某些国家，插头与插座不限定要同等防护等级。
Care shall be taken not to disturb, for example, to knock or shake, the assembly, in such a
way that the test result will be affected.
注意不要使類似冲击或振动的动作影响试验的结果。
If an accessory has drain holes which have been opened, it shall be proved by inspection
that any water which enters does not accumulate and that it drains away without doing any
harm to the complete assembly.
如果有开启排水孔，就必须观察进入插接装置的水不会累积在内部，且在没有危害
整体组装下排出。
The specimens shall withstand an electric strength test specified in 17.2 which shall be
started within 5 min of completion of the test according to this subclause.
做完本条所述的试验后 5 分钟以内，试样应立即做 17.2 条的高压试验。
16.3 Resistance to humidity  耐潮
Accessories shall be proof against humidity which may occur in normal use.
插接装置必须耐受按正常使用出现的潮湿。
Compliance is checked by the humidity treatment described in this subclause, followed
immediately by the measurement of the insulation resistance and by the electric strength test
specified in clause 17.
检验︰按本条所述的潮湿处理法做试验，测试之后接着测量绝缘电阻和做 17条规定的耐电
压试验。
Inlet openings, if any, are left open; if knock-outs are provided, one of them is opened.
若有进线孔让它保持敞开，若有敲落孔，则让其中之一敞开着。
Parts which can be removed without the aid of a tool, are removed and subjected to the humidity
treatment along with the main part; spring lids are open during this treatment.
不借助工具就能拆卸的部件应拆除并与主部件一起做潮湿试验。弹簧盖子在处理过程中保
持敞开。
The humidity treatment is carried out in a humidity cabinet containing air with a relative humidity
maintained between 91 % and 95 %.
在潮湿试验箱中进行潮湿处理，试验箱中的空气具有 91%～95%的相对湿度。
The temperature of the air in which the specimens are placed is maintained within  ±1 K of any
convenient value t between 20  and 30 . ℃℃ 
放置试样的位置的空气温度应为 20℃～30℃中一个合适的温度 t，误差±1K。
Before being placed in the humidity cabinet, the specimens are brought to a temperature between t
and (t + 4) . ℃ 
试样放进试验箱中之前，应使试样的温度达到 t 与 t +4℃之间一个温度。
The specimens are kept in the cabinet for
试样在试验箱中的处理时间为
−  two days (48 h) for accessories having an IP code of IPX0;
2 日（48 小时） ，IP X0 插接装置；
−  seven days (168 h) for accessories having an IP code higher than IPX0.
7 日（168 小时） ，防护等级高于 IP X0 的插接装置。
NOTE 1 In most cases, the specimens may be brought to the specified temperature by keeping them at this temperature for
at least 4 h before the humidity treatment.
注1︰在大多數情况下在试验之前使试样保持该温度至少4小时就可达到规定的试验温度。
NOTE 2 A relative humidity between 91 % and 95 % can be obtained by placing in the humidity cabinet a saturated solution
of sodium sulphate (Na2 SO4) or potassium nitrate (KNO3) in water, having a sufficiently large contact surface with
the air.
注2︰要获得91%～95%之间的相对湿度，可在试验箱中放置硫酸钠（Na2SO4）或硝酸钾（KNO3）的饱和水溶液，并使溶液
与空气有足够大的接触面。
NOTE 3 In order to achieve the specified conditions within the cabinet, it is necessary to ensure constant circulation of the
air within and, in general, to use a cabinet which is thermally insulated.
注3︰为了保持试验箱中规定的试验条件，需必须保持空气不断循环，一般还必须使用隔热试验箱。
After this treatment, the specimens shall show no damage within the meaning of this standard.
潮湿处理结束后，试样上不得出现本标准意义上的损坏。
